On February 20, my mom and I went on a tour to see the Northern Lights. We went out to Þingvellir National Park on a tour with Reykjavik Excursions. The few nights before had had some great sightings, leading to seven buses holding 65 people each venturing out around Reykjavik to track down the Lights. We drove around for a bit, ended up at the highest point we could reach in the park, and stopped for between 1 1/2 and 2 hours to watch the sky. It was crazy - you could turn your back for 20 seconds, and when you turned back around the sky had completely changed! The following are some of the pictures!
